LEADER
As an infectious leader, energetic community-organizer and innovative entrepreneur, Dr. Kirsten Soriano has founded, served for and led a multitude of organizations, boards and committees. With over 20 years of experience in academic and arts administration, she is an expert in implementing strategic plans; management and supervision; organization, problem-solving; and budgeting. Dr. Soriano has produced hundreds of live performances in New York, Chicago and throughout the midwest through various companies she founded and for which she served at the Executive Director or Co-Director.
STRATEGIC PLANNING AND OPERATIONS
In her current position as Associate Dean for Operations in the College of Music at the University of North Texas she:
• Scheduling of over 70,000 events per academic year
• Recording, archiving, and live streaming of over 600 events annually
• Facilities maintenance, upgrades, and renovations of seven buildings including the renovation of a 4.5 million dollar concert hall, Lab West, and
$675,000 in acoustical upgrades to meet accreditation standards
• Ensuring facilities meet ADA needs and standards for accreditation
• Keyboard tuning and maintenance
• Serves as a liaison with IT support staff

STUDENT RETENTION AND CURRICULAR DEVELOPMENT
Dr. Soriano has strategically planned to improve retention rates and student success as Director of Undergraduate Studies and Chair of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee in the College of Music at the University of North Texas College of Music. Under her leadership, the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee has passed over one hundred curricular proposals she has has helped bring the College's curriculum into the twenty first-century by helping to implement the following programs:
• Bachelor of Arts, Commercial Music with four tracks (general, commercial music and production, business of commercial music, and music for media)
• Bachelor of Arts, Critical Studies in Music and Society
• Bachelor of Music in Jazz with a certificate in Africana Studies
• Minor in Music Business/Entrepreneurship
• Minor in Commercial Music
• Concentration in Electronics
• An new prefix in Audio Engineering
